ESSET Background
Since 1970, the EPA has worked to create a cleaner, healthier environment for the American people. The EPA’s Office of Information Technology Operations (OITO) provides EPA with IT solutions and services that support mission success across the continental U.S.
EPA IT is working to strengthen its technology support and service delivery and a core focus is on improving endpoint technology services for a more effective and enhanced user experience enterprise wide. As OITO evolves EPA’ endpoint technology service operations, it seeks support for managing and coordinating OITO services and maturing its IT capabilities.
ESSET Objectives & Scope
OITO’s overall objectives are to improve and standardize service delivery and end-user support services, effectively maintain critical daily IT operations, implement solutions that promote more efficient processes, and continue to integrate solutions into the IT environment in a cost-effective, secure, and highly reliable manner.
GovCIO’s ESSET team will deliver, manage, evolve end-user IT services, communication and collaboration tools, and end-user devices and applications for the EPA enterprise. Our team will provide on-site, contractor site, and virtual services for 20,000 deployed desktops/laptops, 8,500 mobile devices, service desk, endpoint technologies, and user experience at EPA HQ, regional offices, and lab locations nationwide.
Meet Our ESSET Program Leadership
Chris has had the good fortune of supporting government agencies and their missions for almost 30 years. This includes agencies such as USAID, the Department of State, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and many others at locations across the world. In this time, Chris has managed and delivered on large, high level engineering projects, including server/desktop virtualization, enterprise network management, and enterprise system management/monitoring, for mission critical systems.
Having the opportunity to support the EPA is a culmination of more than two decades of hard work and forging great relationships with the client and peers. This effort will be the highlight of his career.
Dave is a GovCIO leader with strong technical, business and leadership skills, and a deeply varied background as business leader, program manager, transformation leader, subject matter expert, and solutions architect. He has a wide-range of experience supporting federal customers from system development to infrastructure management to analytics/business intelligence to business management, using techniques from best practices, such as ITIL, TBM, COBIT, PMBoK, Agile, DevSecOps, and Lean. His energy and innovation has transformed project execution and brought successful initiatives to his customers and companies.
Brent is an experienced strategic recruiting lead with a demonstrated history of working in information technology and corporate services. He has over 13 years of experience supporting technical recruiting, screening, and management for federal government contractors and contracts.
Atacan possesses over 30 years of experience leading and managing IT development, implementation, and operations programs in the federal government IT market. He has a strong blend of technical and business acumen and a proven record of success marketing, capturing, and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
A seasoned, hands-on practicing technology SME, Atacan specializes in CIO support, government modernization and transformation, data center consolidation, IP convergence, and the latest networking technologies such as software defined networks, mobile computing, and cloud computing. He has experience managing and leading large teams (over 100) of network engineers, systems engineers, analysts, and programmers for multi-million dollar contracts in the federal marketplace.
