Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for an Agile Project Manager. This position will be located in Fort Sam Houston, TX and will be a Hybrid Remote position.
Responsibilities
The information technology project manager will lead an Agile software development team in the design, development, testing, and implementation of new or existing applications. Creates integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new products in development projects. Manages a project team comprised of a multidisciplinary staff. Reviews, manages and controls status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members and line managers. Generally reports to a Program Manager.
- Manages the direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives.
- Defines requirements and plans project lifecycle deployment.
- Supervises professional and technical support personnel performing in their regular disciplines.
- Schedules tasks and coordinates with various team members to accomplish the results.
- Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking, analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
High School with 6 - 9 years
Clearance Required: Secret
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining integrated master program portfolio schedules
- Demonstrated experience tracking multiple project deliverables, milestones, and schedules for systems or software delivery programs through program/portfolio lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience identifying dependencies between program/portfolio projects and tracking dependencies through program/portfolio lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience defining risks and risk mitigation plans and tracking risks through program/portfolio lifecycle
- Demonstrated experienced identifying issues and impacts and tracking issues through program/portfolio lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience managing programmatic information for enterprise-wide projects and programs
- Demonstrated experience defining and implementing strategic communications
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teams
- Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
- PMI PMP certification or equivalent
- Agile certification such as Certified Scrum Master or Certified SAFe

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Pay range: $115,000 - $120,000 Annually
