Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst that will work closely with the PMO team, project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project management practices, governance, and standards are implemented and maintained across the program. This position will be fully remote.

Responsibilities

The Program Management Office (PMO) Analyst, in concert with the PMO team will work closely with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project management practices, governance, and standards are implemented and maintained across the program.  The role requires a high level of initiative, collaboration, and communication skills.

  • Work with PMO team to develop and implement PMO methodologies, processes, and standards across the program.
  • Work with PMO team to develop and maintain the PMO function's roadmap, including milestones and key performance indicators.
  • Help design and maintain a program 'Smartbook' that serves as a repository of information for the program team.
  • Support project managers in the preparation of project plans, status reports, and executive summaries.
  • Review and assess project status reports, schedules, risks, and issues to identify areas of concern and recommend corrective action.
  • Provide training and mentoring to project managers and team members on project management methodologies, tools, and best practices as defined by the PMO team.
  • Work with PMO team to develop and maintain project portfolio dashboards and reporting to ensure transparency, visibility, and decision-making support for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with project management standards, policies, and procedures, as defined by the PMO team, across the organization.

Qualifications

High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a Project Management Office (PMO) role.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience in developing and implementing project management methodologies and processes.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and with conducting associated ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional project teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Interlink and / or AWS Cloud Services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, and Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile Scrum, Kanban and / or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Clearance Required: Active Secret

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $82,000 - $115,000 Annually
