Responsibilities
The BHA Deployable Communications Manager will be supporting the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) tasks for O&M of the USAID Information Technology Infrastructure and Systems (ITIS) program.
Basic Qualifications:
- Secret clearance or above
- 12+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or commensurate experience)
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant technologies including, but not limited to, very small aperture terminals (VSAT), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), advanced radio communications, laptops, mobile phones, and video communication systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing a team of qualified subject matter experts who perform a critical communications support and services function in austere environments.
Preferred qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience, including field-based, in civilian-based humanitarian assistance and disaster response, particularly as it pertains to the provision of operational field Communications voice and data support.
- Demonstrated experience managing the contractor’s proposed methodologies and standards as they pertain to disaster-related Communications Field Support.
- Training and experience in civilian-based field operations, particularly as it pertains to safety and security.
