Responsibilities
Develops, inspects, mines, transforms, and models data to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage. Provides subject matter expertise on source system data and business rules to support development, implementation and operations of new or enhanced databases, data warehouses (DW) and analytic systems. May support data modeling and ETL design and development to populate new data structures, including data warehouses, operational data stores and data marts. Performs data validation to assure data quality within new and enhanced databases.
1.Analyzes and assesses existing source system data to design appropriate data-centric solutions.
2.May develop dimensional and relational data models for data marts, data warehouses and operational data stores.
3.May perform design and development of ETL to map data from source systems to the DW and accurately populate databases.
4.Validates ETL, databases, BI metadata and reports to assure data quality in databases, DW and reports.
5.Works closely with business stakeholders and source system owners to research data anomalies and provide recommendations for resolutions.
6.May support end users with specific ad hoc reporting and analytic needs to provide further insights on the data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s with 5 – 8 years (or commensurate experience)
