GovCIO is currently hiring for a/an Capture Manager. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA.


Develops and maintains customer business relationships in domestic and/or international government markets. Discovers new business opportunities and methods of reaching existing markets. Develops strategies and provides input into long range business plans. May act as liaison with government agencies and offices. Assists in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients, including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations, and client presentations. Defines business strategies by applying knowledge of the customer. Fosters relationships with potential players and key decision-makers in the market.

1. Assists in the development of a strong pipeline of new customers and projects in accounts through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
2. Researches new types of business/products/services with an emphasis on identifying gaps (existing and/or expected) in the mitigation of needs of potential clients (existing and/or new ones).
3. Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to increase revenue.
4. Works with marketing and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
5. Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of goals and objectives.


  • Bachelor's with 5-8 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Experience in business development, capture management, and/or project management
  • Experience with Federal Government procurement

Posted Pay Range


The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $140,000 - $150,000 Annually
