Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct Semi-Annual Inventory for all COMSEC Material and Equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance, installation, and software upgrades for all secure COMSEC Equipment.
  • Provide training to hand receipt holders in security and accounting functions.
  • Provide training to users in equipment operation.
  • Maintain records of all issued COMSEC material issued to include hand receipts.
  • Perform routine destruction of COMSEC material.
  • Perform annual Rekey functions for COMSEC equipment held locally.
  • Maintain COMSEC Account files and prepare and submit accounting reports as required.
  • Participate and Contribute in the development and operational planning of customer training, and the conduct of emergency exercises.
  • Perform issue, delivery, training, troubleshooting and programming of all COMSEC equipment in all areas of deployment to include major city Chief’s and Sheriff’s, Border Patrol, Fusion Centers, Emergency Operation Centers, Homeland Security Advisors, Governor’s and Homeland Security Information & Analysis (IA&) supported personnel and facilities.
  • Support I&A efforts under all conditions including response during and throughout emergency notification and activation of all facilities to include post exercise and/or incident after action reviews.
  • Exhibit knowledge of Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) COMSEC related policies and instructions.
  • Serves as the Alternate COMSEC Manager.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Mid-level security control assessors should have 3 to 5 years of experience.
  • Must have active Top Secret Clearance and acquire DHS suitability

 

Travel:

  • Require 30+ percent travel – local and US Wide and it’s territories.

 

 

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Communication Security certification is desired.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
