Responsibilities

Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with Company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. Monitors company performance for conformance to original proposal and maintains continual reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that the contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations. Prepares and disseminates information throughout the company regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination. Initiates documentation to authorize and direct work in accordance with contractual specifications.

1. Reviews solicitations and prepares responses for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
2. Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and business unit procedures.
3. Drafts and negotiates contractual instruments commensurate with skills and grade level.
4. Prepares, organizes and maintains contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance.
5. Works with internal or external representatives on issues and developments relative to assigned contracts.

 

Qualifications

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ experience or 4 additional years without a bachelor’s degree
  • Reviews solicitations and prepares responses for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
  • Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and business unit procedures.
  • Drafts and negotiates contractual awards and documents.
  • Prepares, organizes and maintains contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance.
  • Works with internal or external representatives on issues and developments relative to assigned contracts.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations
