Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

– Opens/Tracks/Closes service desk tickets using the Remedy ITSM

– Analyzes problems and provides technical assistance, support, and advice to end users for hardware, software, and systems.

– Studies and resolves computer software and hardware problems of users.

– Acts as a contact for users having problems using computer software, hardware, and operating systems.

– Determines whether problem is caused by hardware, software, or system.

– Answers questions, applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, systems, and procedures.


The position requires:

High School with 3 – 6 years (or commensurate experience)

– 3+ years of  related experience providing IT hardware and software deployment, troubleshooting, and problem resolution support to end users

-HS Diploma or GED

-TS/SCI Clearance

-IAT Level II Certification

– Experience using Remedy ITSM

– Possess exceptional communication skills and possess the ability to meet aggressive timelines in a very fast-paced environment.

– Must have strong customer service skills and be able to multitask between hardware and software solutions.

– Strong skills with imaging machines and troubleshooting during the image process are a plus.

– Customer service and communication skills.

– Ability to troubleshoot Microsoft Windows.

– General knowledge of Smart cards/PIV cards.

– Experience with Office, VPN, Active Directory, and Thin Client.

– Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.

– Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.

– Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.

– Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.

– Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
