Duties include (but not limited to)

  • This position is Mon-Fri, days, on site at Lackland AFB, in the SCIF
  • Install, configure, and maintain Big IP F5 devices in both physical and virtual environments, utilizing both CLI and GUI interfaces
  • Create and deploy Virtual Interfaces within the Local Traffic Manager
  • Maintain and understand Access Policies, iApp’s, and authentication profiles for both client and server traffic
  • Monitor and update certificates and keys as needed
  • Track and understand MTO/TCNO security notices for F5 devices, identify if known vulnerabilities are applicable to the customer as well as implement recommended hardening solutions on closed circuit networks
  • Work closely with System Administrators to design, implement, or change configurations
  • Install, replace and maintain fiber optic cabling to include termination and splicing
  • Configure switchport access across 3 networks
  • Track maintenance actions across three networks utilizing both local and Enterprise level ticketing systems

 

Qualifications

  • High School with 6 – 9 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Must possess Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility on Day 1
  • Must possess valid Security+CE certification on Day 1
  • Minimum 6 years as a Network Administrator
  • Minimum 2 years experience operating and maintaining an F5 installation
  • Some experience maintaining/installing fiber optic cabling

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with an Air Force Communications or Intel Support Squadron desired
  • Any DoD experience nice to have
  • F5 Certification highly desirable but not mandatory
