Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a ServiceNow helpdesk support staff to provide technical support for DITMAC DSoS networks. This position will be located in Crystal City, Arlington VA and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

Provides technical support for computers and associated networks. Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, multiplexers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors. Provides personal computer, hardware, and software support. Installs, services, and repairs personal computers and installs attendant software. Connects personal computers and terminals to existing data networks. Maintains network diagrams and circuit records. Maintains trouble logs. Instructs users in the use of personal computers and networks. Investigates information, network, and communications needs of users, and makes recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases. Performs basic PC, PBX, and network software programming.

  • Confers with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
  • Installs and performs minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
  • Answers questions or resolves computer problems for clients or staff in person, via telephone or from a remote location.
  • Maintains record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
  • Develops training materials and procedures, and/or trains users in the proper use of hardware and software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Clearance Required: Secret
  • Developing, installing, and troubleshooting ServiceNow applications;
  • Integrating it with other programs; DSSA -DSoS application for DoD and DCSA Specification 
  • Learning about the latest developments in one or more aspects of computer programming
  • Training, documentation, and support;
  • Lastly, they are also responsible for ensuring that the software behaves as designed by testing it for bugs and performance during all stages of the development process.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Troubleshoot bugs, fix defects, and support users of applications developed by the enterprise application development team.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure that the quality bar is being met with regard to coding standards, integration, extensibility, and security.
  • Assist in maintaining detailed documentation of application design and code generation techniques used to train other developers on ServiceNow system software.
  • Develop enhancements for applications developed by the enterprise application development team.

Required Skills and Experience  

  • Web technologies - HTML or XML
  • API integrations with other systems
  • Configuration of ServiceNow's ITSM service  to Include DoD platform

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $90,000 - $90 Annually
