Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Training Specialist for our program with the US Courts. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX and is a hybrid remote position.

Responsibilities

General technical trainer on technical topics

    • Phone & Video Conference Systems
    • Mobile Devices
    • Scanning, Patching & Asset MGM
    • Knowledge of IT Security including logging, data protection, vulnerability scanning, asset/patch management, and access and risk management
    • Ability to develop relationships with colleagues and technology SMEs to understand how the client will use the technology and why they need the training (develop plans and justify the need)
  • Instructional Design
    • Developing course material from scratch
    • Create job specific technical training material associated with, but not limited to job aides, webinars, in-person training and Electronic Learning Modules (ELMs). 

In support of Training Development and Delivery:

  • Maintain, improve, develop and deliver end-user and technical training on the full range of nationally supported applications and systems.
  • Organize and conduct moderately complex training and educational programs for information technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Develop instructional curriculum and materials; gather and assimilate information on subject matter, organizes and condenses material, and prepares course outline, handouts, and visual aid materials.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure that prepared courses and training materials meet stated objectives.
  • Maintain records of training activities and program effectiveness.
  • Develop training assessments that measure the skill of a user before and after training.
  • Create storyboards, write narrative scripts, and determine instructional strategies and media elements to be utilized in courses.
  • Prepare automated training materials (such as video recorded training sessions, computer-aided tutorials, electronic learning modules.).
  • Create and deliver job-specific technical training associated with national applications including but not limited to job aides, webinars, in-person instruction, and Electronic Learning Modules (ELMs).
  • Create and develop distance learning courses using AO approved multimedia development tools.
  • Convert existing traditional in-person training courses to computer-based training and adaptive learning courses that are virtually accessible.
  • Organize and conduct moderately complex training and educational programs for information technology professionals (technical) or end-users (non-technical).
  • Deliver live in-person or virtual instructor-led training as required.
  • Develop instructional curriculum and materials; gather and assimilate information on subject matter, organize and condense material, and prepare course outline, handouts, and visual aid materials.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure that prepared courses and training materials meet stated objectives.
  • Maintain records of training activities and program effectiveness.
  • Develop training assessments that measure the skill of a user before and after training.
  • Create storyboards, write narrative scripts, and determine instructional strategies and media elements to be used in virtual courses, electronic learning modules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

 Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience training adult learners on technical topics.
  • Experience conducting live and virtual training using video conferencing tools (i.e. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.)
  • 6 years of experience working and interacting in a team environment
  • 6 years of experience editing training materials
  • Ability to develop relationships with colleagues and technology SMEs to understand how the client will use the technology and why they need the training (develop plans and justify the need)
  • Ability to work and interact with others in a structured team environment.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
  • Self-motivation and the qualities of a self-starter.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging priorities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Must have proficient experience in MS Office and the ability to come up to speed quickly on any in the list below):
    • Word
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
    • Planner
    • SharePoint
    • PowerAutomate
    • Teams
  • Excellent editing skills.

Clearance Required: Must be able to acquire and maintain AOUSC Public Trust


Preferred Skills and Experience

  •  Federal or State courts experience

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $71,150 - $80,000 Annually
