The Junior Software Developer will be supporting IT software development project to develop the USPTO’s e-commerce solution. The person in this position will be exposed to work with multiple tools and technologies like Java, Angular, AWS, SonarQube, Subversion, Jenkins, Cloudbees, Gitlab; and will be expected to learn quick and support a high performing development team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop Java and Angular Code
  • Develop automated test scripts (Selenium) to validate functional, technical, and performance requirements as necessary
  • Verify code quality with Sonar, perform code clean-up
  • Participate in Agile/DevSecOps Meetings
  • Document written technical material

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 0 – 2 years (or commensurate experience) in software development
  • Atleast 1-2 years Java development
  • Experience with automated testing using UFT/Selenium.
  • Atleast 2 years overall work experience
  • Exposure to build and repository tools like GitLab, Subversion, Jenkins, Cloudbees

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with government/federal agencies
  • AWS Cloud Development exposure
  • Experience working in Agile Environment
  • Higher Level Academic Degree
  • Exposure to Angular Front End Development
