Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences of complex technical concepts, especially the inner workings of Liferay platform.
- Designing Liferay forms
- Independently develop, debug complex interactive functionalities in a Web application.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
- Expertise and deep experience with Liferay, especially version 7.3 and above, including, but not limited to:
- Understanding of the internal workings of Liferay portal software, its components and interactions among the components. Understanding the database structure for Liferay
- Experience in designing Liferay forms
- Understanding and experience in developing custom workflow using Beanshell scripts
- Strong Java development skills, solid understanding of Java server side technologies, especially how Java based Web applications work within an application server/container such as Tomcat
- Strong skills in Javascript (vanilla Javascript or jQuery)
- Independently develop, debug complex interactive functionalities in a Web application.
- Understanding of Web application architecture and technologies in general
- Familiar with concepts such as HTTP, HTML, ajax, restful API
- Familiarity with Web application security technology in general
- Understanding of authentication/authorization concepts in Web application architecture
- Experience and understanding of source control systems and best practices, especially with regard to Git
- Good understanding of relational database understanding and experience in using one or more of database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, or MySQL
- Ability to understand and write complex SQL queries
