Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Logistics Analyst to oversee tasking requirements, evaluate current logistics AIS operations and instruct subordinates. The primary role of is to provide all aspects of aviation logistics to supported units operating under Commander Naval Air Forces. This position will be located in Norfolk, VA and will be a fully onsite position.

 

Responsibilities

The primary role of the Logistics Analyst is to provide all aspects of aviation logistics to supported units operating under Commander Naval Air Forces.

 

Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.

  • Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, and other data to plan and develop logistic program activities from conceptual stage through life-cycle of product.
  • Develops and implements program activities, coordinates efforts of subcontractors, production departments, and field service personnel to ensure meeting of contractual commitments.
  • Compiles data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistics activities.
  • Determines logistic support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from location of operational area, and other factors, such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel.
  • Develops and initiates preparation of handbooks, bulletins, and information systems to provide and supply logistics support.
  • Review AIS software packages, source documents and establish policies to determine format-and-design requirements 
  • Prepare follow-up reports evaluating effectiveness of system implementations.
  • Determines topic, target audiences, and resources necessary to develop and present Naval logistics courses for the Naval Air Community.

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 2 - 5 years (or commensurate experience)

 

Clearance Required:  SECRET



Required Skills and Experience

  • Education: Shall possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related business discipline. As a substitute, 6+ years of experience in a combination of military logistics and military logistics AISs management may be utilized.


Preferred Skills and Experience:

 

• 8 years of experience in military logistics, military logistics AISs management, inventory management, financial management and the functionality of AISs within the last 5 years

• 2 years of experience as a senior-level analyst and a supervisor

Previous experience providing subject matter expertise and leadership to project analyses and process improvement activities associated with RSUPPLY and NALCOMIS databases.
• Experience providing root cause analysis and recommendations in response to current readiness metrics.

• Experience developing solutions and provide recommendations for troubleshooting problems associated with NALCOMIS interface and RSUPPLY database. Training NALCOMIS DBA onboard CVN’s S-6 on all aspects of site record upkeep and building customer properly in OIrefeMA.

• Expert knowledge of all aspects of aviation support IAW CNAP 4440.2C. Previous member of the Supply Management Assessment team (SMI/SMA).
• Experience in material order submission, tracking, and expediting using DoD and Navy MILSTRIP requisition transactions.

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $65,000 - $68,000 Annually
