Responsibilities
Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.
- Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, and other data to plan and develop logistic program activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of product.
- Develops and implements program activities, coordinates efforts of subcontractors, production departments, and field service personnel to ensure meeting of contractual commitments.
- Compiles data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistics activities.
- Determines logistic support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from location of operational area, and other factors, such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel.
- Develops and initiates preparation of handbooks, bulletins, and information systems to provide and supply logistics support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s with 2 – 5 years (or commensurate experience)
- Shall possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related business discipline. As a substitute, eight years of experience in a combination of military logistics AISs management may be utilized.
- Active Secret Clearance
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience: In addition to any experience which is substituted for education, the Logistics Analyst shall have five years of experience in military logistics, military logistics AISs management, inventory management, financial management and the functionality of AISs.
- Must be able to travel OUTCONUS for a period of up to 3 weeks per week.
- Experience in AVCAL allowancing database support. Extensive use of Access and Excel required to review, edit, and create text files to load to NALCOMIS and R-Supply on LHA/LHD ships.
- Experience of NALCOMIS and R-Supply processes used by Supply personnel on LHA/LHD/CVN ships. Preferable in the Aviation Stores Division.
- Experience with Supply Management Certification and Pre-Deployment events.
- Be able to teach NALCOMIS for Supply Personnel (Basic and Advanced) seminars. Each seminar is approximately 2 days in duration.
- Must be physically fit to go onboard ships.
- Knowledge and operational experience working with Navy Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS).
- A previous tour supporting a US Navy staff or Afloat Training Group (ATG).
- Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 9502 a plus.
- Afloat Training Specialist (ATS) or Master Training Specialist (MTS) a plus.
- Retired Navy Logistics Specialist (E7-above) is preferred.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in multiple Naval Logistics system applications and analysis, inventory and financial management and material warehousing, trafficking, and physical management in support of various SNAP I & II Supply Departments using NTCSS/SNAP AIS such as SUADPS & SFM.
- Prefer to have experience with Integrated Barcode System (IBS-ONE) use.
