Responsibilities/Experience
GovCIO is looking for a Microsoft Compliance and Security Analyst to support our government client with an ATO as a Service for the M365 suite of applications. Our client will provide STIGs and other FISMA policies they are beholden to and our team will support by creating SOPs based on those and Microsoft security/compliance recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in establishing security standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines on a variety of information security controls.
- Technical review of documentation – validation of content for accuracy and completeness.
- Assess security procedures and propose ideas, and recommendations to mitigate threats.
- Act as a liaison to the business and IT groups (engineers) and assist them in the implementation of data security, compliance requirements, and information security technologies.
- Assist in coordination of ATO as a Service for M365 and assist with implementation where needed.
- Assist M365 PM with tracking of deliverables/due dates, creating team-specific SOPs, and creation of other M365 project/team documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s with 5 – 8 years (or commensurate experience)
- 5 + years experience with and a passion for Cybersecurity in a corporate environment
- Experience working in a Microsoft 365 (M365) environment
- Experience writing documentation, particularly SOPs
- Familiarity with technical aspects of cybersecurity
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Organization and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and ability to collaborate and build consensus, within a variety of functions and experience levels
- Readiness to get hands-on and in the details
