Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Mission Defense Team (MDT) Analyst to provide computer forensic and intrusion support to high technology investigations in the form of computer evidence seizure, computer forensic analysis, data recovery, and network assessments for the 616th AF ACOMS. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX and will be an onsite position.
Responsibilities
The Operations Center team member is responsible for the control of network defense actions on the network. Responsibilities include:
- Processing cyber events from affiliated units, directly tasking tactical units and collaborating with the plans division to create required defense effects for the network.
- Conduct ongoing missions by Cyber Protection Teams as well as day-to-day defense actions on the Air Force Network.
- Produce cyber threat assessments based on entity threat analysis.
- Provide computer forensic and intrusion support to high technology investigations in the form of computer evidence seizure, computer forensic analysis, data recovery, and network assessments.
- Research and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures and trends in computer network vulnerabilities, data hiding, network security and encryption.
Qualifications
- High School with 6-9 years (or commensurate experience)
- Must possess a current CompTIA Security+ CE certification
- Strong technical background and experience with Air Force Cyber Weapon Systems
- Experience working in a collaborative environment supporting instructional analysis, design, and development
- Ability to work in production-driven environment
- Must have the ability to communicate with other agencies concerning cyber incidents
- Clearance Required: TS/SCI
Preferred/Desired Skills
- Prior U.S. Air Force weapon systems experience
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Cyber Security Service Provider
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with larger teams

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Pay range: $90,000 - $105,000 Annually
