Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for an Operations / Business Analyst to support an large, enterprise financial support system. This position will be located in Washington, DC and will be a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for providing program operational support and technical writing support to program management.  A viable candidate will be a seasoned communicator capable of applying strong communications skills to develop and review written technical content as well as presenting and reviewing content with other stakeholders in an effective manner. 

 

Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. Provides technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, developing, and supporting systems. They have the business knowledge and perspective of a particular business and the IT needs of that customer. Requires knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and work flows. May also be functional experts in financial, program control or logistical areas.

  • Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.
  • Interfaces between systems architects/programmers and users located in a specialized area to ensure that information technology designs meet the needs of the end users within an organization.
  • Documents product/service requirements and develops test procedures to ensure user requests are carried out.
  • Interacts with testing requirements to ensure traceability and test coverage.
  • Requires general-logic knowledge of system capabilities without necessarily the ability to program.
  • Support branding and content development efforts to maximize stakeholder engagement,
  • Align document material with standards to ensure document accuracy and consistency,
  • Support program messaging and timing of communications with key training and delivery milestones,
  • Work closely with program management personnel to develop timely and compliant program reporting, and
  • Participate in working sessions with program management and program teams to document activity and capture / track actions.
  • Translates complex data into user-friendly text for print and electronic publications, such as technical journals, user and training manuals, government proposals, websites and podcasts.
  • Gathers information through research, statistical reports and interviews with technical staff.
  • Develops cataloging systems, and maintains records, files, electronic media and archiving of information for publications.
  • Assists in preparing material for technical seminars and business forums. May be called upon to assist in technical or business presentations in such meetings as business or customer needs require.
  • Selects or recommends use of layouts, graphics, drawings, tables, exhibits, illustrations, charts, or storyboards to amplify or clarify publications objectives.

Qualifications

 

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors with 5-8 years (or commensurate experience) with a focus on written and verbal communication.
  • Advanced skills in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, and Slides) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with generation and review of financial reports
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workloads and meet deliverable deadlines
  • US Citizenship required (no exceptions)


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with document management systems
  • Federal government experience
  • Current Security Clearance of Secret or higher

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $95 - $110 Annually
