The primary responsibility of an organizational change manager is to develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize understanding, coordination, implementation, and usage of various functional and process changes within the client systems. These responsibilities also include plans and roadmaps to anticipate and minimize negative or unknown impacts to stakeholders.  The change manager must work with and through many others in the organization and agency to work collaboratively through the artifacts and planning documents agreed upon in the change communications roadmap that they assist in development and managing to.  The change manager may support and coach people at various levels. Similarly, the change manager supports project managers and project teams to integrate change management activities with their project plans.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
    Leverage a change management methodology, process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
  • Support communication efforts
    Enable the design, development, delivery and management of key communications.
  • Assess the change impact
    Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
  • Support training efforts
    Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Create actionable deliverables for the core Change Management Roadmap and associated deliverables, which could include personas, glossaries, key messages, stakeholder lists, stakeholder tooklits, emails to customers, journey maps, and other required artifacts.
  • Support and engage senior leaders within the customer agency
  • Coordinate efforts with other managers and team members
  • Integrate change management activities into the project plan

 

 

 

Qualifications    

 

  • Bachelor’s with 20+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • 10 years Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with presentations to all levels of personnel including executives
  • Ability to create and manage a plan, coordination with multiple stakeholders
  • Problem solving and root-cause identification skills
  • Ability to understand user behavior and create sit maps, journey maps, and persona development
  • Familiarity with project managementapproaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle

 

Desired Qualifications 

 

  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts, with a federal government client is preferred
  • Change management certification or designation desired

Compensation Range (In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act for remote or positions located in CO)

$190,000-210,000
