Responsibilities
GovCIO is looking for a Pega Lead BA to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support our IRS clients and our Pega team with agile elaboration business process improvement for modernization of legacy systems on the Pega Platform. As a Lead Business Architect (LBA), the candidate must have a knowledge of Pega best practices and insight into the advantages that Pega offers. As a Program Lead, the candidate must be willing and able to perform program administrative activities and assist with capture management and proposal development as needed. The successful candidate will work directly with clients and other vendors to mature the program to more productive and business focused solutions.
- Reimagine, modernize, and help migrate business processes from legacy systems to Pega platform.
- Work with customers to understand their pain points, come up with solutions, prototype, iterate, and deploy products into production frequently.
- Provide thought leadership around ways to improve implementation and integration of applications using Pega.
- Elaboration and documentation of business requirements.
- Use multiple tools and techniques to support agile elaboration functions and assist in identifying, decomposing, and documenting epics, capabilities, and features.
- Create prototypes for user evaluation; Design, develop, and demonstrate new functionality for business clients.
- Work closely with government and other vendor groups.
- Modify or develop new workflow configurations to maximize production and operating efficiency.
- Enable reduction of redundancy and overlap in the data across the IRS.
- Ensure implementations align with broader standards and frameworks of the overall business strategy.
- Exhibit a Team Player mentality with a focus on collaborative engagement.
- Modify or develop new workflow configurations to maximize production and operating efficiency.
- Guide and mentor junior team members as necessary.
- Assist with understanding and domain expertise of IRS.
- Transform incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs from clients and their stakeholders into clear and actionable plans, requirements, and user stories backed by data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in I.T., computer science, or related field. Degree may be substituted by commensurate work experience.
- Certified Pega Business Architect (BA) and System Architect (SA) certifications.
- 8+ years of relevant Pega experience.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience with enterprise wide Pega projects.
- 5+ years of experience in the federal sector.
- Ability to lead and manage teams.
- Proven ability to assess and improve upon business processes.
- Ability to bridge business and technology through collaboration and clear communication.
- Ability to inform and train government and other vendor groups on Pega best practices and Agile elaboration.
- Must possess excellent communication, analytical, and writing skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, remote environment.
- Must be meticulous and highly organized.
- Must be eligible for Public Trust clearance with experience working at IRS and IRS public trust clearance held within the last two years.
- Knowledge of and experience with the IRS ECM Program, including its vision, principles, and objectives.
- General understanding of IRS case management business process requirements.
- Understanding of business concepts, including finance and the federal procurement cycle.
- Knowledge of and experience with responding to requests for proposals (RFPs).
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Agile SAFe or other related Agile certification(s).
- Knowledge of and experience with User Experience (UX) design and testing and human-centered design principles.
