Overview

GovCIO is seeking a product marketing specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, help develop segmentation and personalization strategies, craft email marketing copy, and create IT-focused content to help grow our audience and strengthen our readership.

 

Do you measure success by open and click-through rates that climb higher over time?, Are you highly analytical?, Can you derive meaning from performance data?. You might be a good fit for this role if you’re excited about optimizing and growing a top-notch email marketing program, are a skilled writer and have experience with marketing automation and project management tools such as Marketo, ZoomInfo and Monday.

Responsibilities

You’re always looking for ways to experiment with new email marketing strategies to find what works best for our target audience, within different programs and goals.

  • Grow our email list organically not through purchased or rented lists
  • Manage frequency and distribution of various email campaigns
  • Segment audience based on behaviors (e.g., past email, website, or social engagement) and firmographic data
  • Measure results and optimize lead nurturing workflows to convert leads into loyal customers, audience members and event attendees
  • Craft and test compelling subject lines and CTAs
  • Draft IT-focused content as needed
  • Maintain SEO and website content
  • Test copy frameworks to drive open rates, interest and conversion
  • Help support the amplification of events, podcasts, newsletter and audience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Expertise in email marketing concepts, metrics and automation tools
  • Excellent understanding of web analytics
  • Excellent writer and communicator

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $70,000 - $80,000 Annually
