Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a/an Security Specialist 2. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions such as personnel and physical security
  • Process security packages for employees supporting GovCIO contracts which require suitability determinations or collateral clearances
  • Facilitating security processing for DoD, VA, DHA, DHS, FDA, USCIS and USPS contracts; Access control credentials; SF85/86 reviews, advisement, and submissions; Adverse reporting as needed to US Government
  • Process CIR and CJR requests for prospective employees and new hires
  • Working with prime and sub-contractors to maintain contract security compliance
  • Submitting VARs, LOA/Deployments, SCI NOMs, CAC requests, eQIP initiations as needed per contract requirements
  • Interfacing professionally with company leadership, Government customers, and employees to provide guidance and updates relating to Security clearance processes, DoD clearance requirements, periodic reinvestigation's
  • Other duties as assigned by the GovCIO Director of Security/FSO

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's with 2 -5 years (or commensurate experience) 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelors Degree and 3 - 5 years security operations or personnel security management experience (or commensurate experience in lieu of formal degree)
  • Knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule and Security Executive Agent Directive (SEAD) 3 requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools 
  • Experience with CCURE, DISS, NISS, SIMS, DataWatch preferably

Clearance Required: DoD Top Secret Clearance

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $70,000 - $75,000 Annually
