  • Design, develop, and maintain database systems to support the organization’s data needs
  • Gather and analyze data requirements from various departments
  • Implement database structures and ensure the integrity and performance of the databases
  • Write and maintain database documentation
  • Manage a team of junior database analysts
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Work with the IT department to ensure that database systems are properly integrated with other systems and applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues as they arise
  • Develop and implement database backup and recovery procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices




  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 7+ years of experience as a database analyst or related role
  • Strong understanding of database design, development, and maintenance


Required Skills


  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one database management system (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
  • Experience with database management tools (e.g. MySQL Workbench, Oracle Enterprise Manager)
  • Experience with data modeling and data warehousing
  • Experience leading and managing a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills


Desired Skills


  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, NoSQL databases)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with cloud-based database systems (e.g. Amazon RDS, Microsoft Azure)
