Responsibilities 

 

Gov CIO is looking for a Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer to support our government client with an ATO as a Service for the Microsoft 365 suite of applications. This position will work as a key member of the Engineering Team working on an enterprise migration from on-premises to the Office 365 and Microsoft Azure environment.  This position will be a key technical resource to assist in the building, configuring, migrating, and securing the services to NIST standards Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, Intune, OneDrive, Autopilot, Power Platform applications, SharePoint Online, and other applications, as requested.

  • Lead technical exchanges and collaboration with customers to understand their application environments, evaluate any architectural changes they may need, and develop an architecture that meets the application and customer requirements, utilizing a cloud native approach, as much as possible.
  • Prepare and submit build and standardized process documentation both for internal and external partner use, to facilitate application deployment, management, security and upgrades.
  • Deploy and sustain cloud infrastructure to support customer applications.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain Azure platform resources.
  • Work across organizations to deliver cloud infrastructure strategies that aligned with customer objectives.
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of customer application issues to include network, storage, operating system, and application level analysis.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements to security, scalability, manageability, and performance across a wide variety of application, network, and data storage and compute services and technologies.
  • Research new cloud technologies and prototype solutions that can be leveraged to decrease costs and increase performance and mentor existing staff on cloud computing best practices and technology to drive cloud adoption.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • 8 years of progressive IT experience
  • Senior Level Cloud Engineer Experience – IaaS required
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure AD, M365, Intune, Teams and Zoom
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects in fast-paced environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across the entire technology stack – network, storage, server, and applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Autopilot and/or automated MacOS provisioning with JAMF
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Powershell, Bash, AutoIt, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of DoD STIGSs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
  • U.S Citizenship Required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certifications strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of server technologies and application stacks.
  • 5+ years Implementing and Deploying Microsoft Intune and Azure environment policies.
