Senior VTC Engineer #2911

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior VTC Engineer. This position will be located in Washington, DC and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and/or installation activities within the video telecommunications function including implementation, diagnostics and operations/user support.
• Ensuring that equipment for VTC sessions is configured, tested, and ready for operation prior to the scheduled time of the VTC session.
• Monitoring the operation of  video telecommunication network systems and transition mediums.
• Performing complex tasks relating to video telecommunication network operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site and/or remote locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ yrs experience VTC service and support to include scheduling; monitoring; administrative support and technical assistance to VTC customers.
• Knowledge of different protocols: H.323, SIP, ISDN and associated ports for VTC and video streaming.
• Demonstrated knowledge of VTC technology and equipment and coordinating VTC type meetings across multiple sites.
• Providing field reporting as required.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $80,000 - $85,000 Annually
