Responsibilities

 

SRE Lead (SME). Leads the team of ServiceNow Engineers and DevSecOps engineers. As a T-shaped resource, draws upon a breadth of IT engineering and operations knowledge to effectively collaborate with EPA stakeholders and Team leads to formulate automation strategies to target highest-value initiatives to improve existing services and identifies novel solutions to evolving challenges to mature EPA ESSET service offering. Combines engineering experience with a focus on improving existing systems and processes to support ESSET IT service strategy activities, including continuous service improvement. Focuses on solutions that improve service automation, reliability, and EPA’s IT security posture, employing emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to operationalize an AIOps approach to ESSET service delivery. Ensures alignment of all activities with EPA ESSET’s ServiceNow strategy and identifies economies of scale for both core and surge tasks. Works with ServiceNow Architect and DevSecOps Engineers to assess capabilities of modules and submodules, managing technical debt, and leveraging the ServiceNow modules to the maximum extent where feasible and formulates recommendations for alternative solutions to enhance automation, functionality, or security when it is not an ideal fit for existing platform capabilities. Qualifications

 

High School 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
