Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager of Government Contract Compliance will be GovCIO’s liaison between DCAA/DCMA/ACO and management, communicate within and outside of organization to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches.

  • Serve as a DCAA point of contact for incurred cost proposal reviews and audits, cost and budget reviews, and other audits and data requests for the DCAA 
  • Assist in gathering relevant information/data, coordinating, supporting, and reviewing audit responses to DCMA/DCAA
  • Work directly with DCAA auditors and internal staff to lead the responding to and tracking of audit inquiries and ad-hoc requests
  • Prepare and submit annual Incurred Cost Submission, including all main schedules and supporting data/supplemental schedules to DCAA for Approval
  • Maintain strong, positive working relationship with DCAA
  • Develop and submit Forward Pricing Rate Proposal’s, Disclosure Statement submissions, and monthly overhead rate analysis and budget variance reviews
  • Perform research on federal government rulings and regulations in preparation for audit efforts
  • Recommend improvements to indirect burden structure and costing
  • Ensure maintenance of the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Disclosure Statement
  • Coordinates contract closeout reconciliations with Accounts Receivable and Contract Management
  • Assist the contract close-out process, preparing schedules and documents
  • Contribute to other Government Compliance tasks, projects, and process improvement activities
  • Audit timesheets for compliance with firm policy and Federal regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting and/or Government Compliance experience including CAS and FAR compliance, procurement, and pricing
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced knowledge of indirect pools and rate application
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
  • Experience working with DCAA auditors and advanced understanding of the Defense Contract Audit Manual
