Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Technical Operations Manager. This position will be located in Fort Knox and will be an on site position.

Responsibilities

 A viable candidate will need to understand the business processes, needs and designs of any/all production systems and provide technical analysis on the current architecture.  Understanding user interactions, system outputs and responsibilities will be key to providing  the guidance required to support current & future system capabilities/strategic needs/interactions with other like systems.  This individual will assist in the reviewing, analyzing, evaluating ideas, projects and opportunities to develop new products, new technologies and business models for the business segments.

  • Communicates with technical, applications, and operational staff, in order to design an optimized database architecture (performance, accessibility, backup, and recovery plan).
  • Analyzes and makes recommendations for improvements to existing software regarding database performance, stability, usability and scalability.
  • Performs logical and physical data modeling, designs relational database models and creates physical data models from logical data models.
  • Designs database servers and interfaces to improve database and application performance.
  • Supports the development effort by authoring stored procedures, functions, views and check constraints.
  • Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers
  • Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.
  • Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
  • Designs, creates, and builds network services, equipment and devices.
  • Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
  • Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
  • Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.

Qualifications

High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5 yrs experience in Program Management
  • Minimum 3 yrs experience in IT Program Management
  • Minimum 1 yr of successful experience managing similar Government program
  • Minimum 1 yr managing IT Help Desk
  • Clearance required: TS/SCI

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $80,000 - $110,000 Annually
