GovCIO is looking for a passionate Technical Trainer who will deliver ServiceNow product training as part of our Service Delivery Team on the ESSET/EPA Account. This person will design, prepare and conduct technical training programs and recorded content.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, and implements technical product or system training programs (across multiple ServiceNow products) at a variety of levels to different audiences via “virtual” classroom and recorded formats. Audience may include customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel. Note: Training in other non-ServiceNow technical areas may be necessary in the future.
    • Trainer will confer with leadership, employees and clients to gain knowledge of work situations requiring technical training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
  • Obtains information from customer and technical organizations (support, developers, analysts, etc) requirements to prepare training programs and training materials; design product demonstrations; develop course content; determine methodology; and coordinate the development of training aids.
    • Trainer formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, meetings, workshops, or videos/CBTs.
    • Revises/refreshes training plans as needed to ensure course material reflects latest product features, meets new training requirements and keeps technical information up to date.
    • Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules.
  • Trainer uses exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including via virtual/online delivery.
    • Facilitates the execution of assigned training programs.
    • Conducts training sessions, demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
  • Requires prior technical subject matter knowledge and experience, but also the ability to learn highly technical products quickly; using pre-release documentation and pre-release software and hardware.

Qualifications

  • High School with 6 – 9 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Background in ITIL, IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management(ITOM), IT Management preferred. HAM/SAM/CMDB & IT Security a plus
  • Experience in a technical training environment required; instructional design experience preferred.
  • Be a true team player focusing on the success of our client and team.
  • High level of flexibility, creativity, and dependability.
  • A strong technical background and experience with ServiceNow is essential.
  • Ability to create Video Training required. Creation of Computer Based Training a plus

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred, not required
  • ITIL and ServiceNow certifications preferred
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and web conferencing applications. Learning technologies such as Captivate, Articulate, design tools, and LMS’ a plus.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM/ITAM/SPM/CSM Modules preferred.
