Responsibilities

Provides installation, technical expertise, and training for all telecommunications equipment and components. Installs, configures, terminates and tests all telecommunications equipment, cables, connectors, and interfaces. Performs intricate alignment and calibration procedures to ensure telecommunication systems are operating efficiently. Maintains telecommunication equipment and component inventory, asset management, media production equipment and facilities as well as fixed installations at various company and/or client sites. Resolves system operational problems by troubleshooting and performing fault isolation. May supervise telecommunications technicians, outside contractors providing technical support and media production services.

  1. Responsible for engineering and/or installation activities within the telecommunications function including network design, engineering, implementation, diagnostics and operations/user support.
  2. Monitors the operation of telecommunication network systems and transition mediums.
  3. Performs complex tasks relating to telecommunication network operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site and/or remote locations.
  4. Serves as technical specialist for the resolution of complex network problems.
  5. Provides field reporting as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Possesses, leads and applies skilled knowledge of the development of a secure Continuous Diagnostic Mitigation (CDM) Mobile Device Management (MDM) environment. 
  • Expertise with a vast experience in building/implementing MDM solutions including all industry standard/market leader products.
  • The ability to create/analyze test environments for evaluation of production implementation.
  • In depth understanding of agency MDM environment to effectively expand capabilities across the agency production infrastructure.
  • The ability to plan, design, coordinate, develop, implement and evaluate all aspects of the MDM environment. 
  • Must have extensive experience is one (or more) of the following mobile technologies:
    • Mobile Device Management/Mobile Application Management Systems such as AirWatch.
    • Mobile Threat Detection Systems such as Zimperium (zIPS).
    • Cloud Access Security Broker Systems such as NetSkope.
  • Extensive understanding of security and integration challenges of a comprehensive BYOD environment.
  • Functions as a technical expert for general MDM related technical issues and provides basic/complex engineering and technical support expertise in solving critical issues.
  • Establishes and satisfies MDM solutions based upon the analysis and working knowledge of MDM and methods for integrating security for the CDM solution within the agency environment. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 6+ years of related experience. 
  • Expert knowledge and experience in MDM solutions in support of security architecture design, specifically in AirWatch. 
  • Experienced in using professional concepts to resolve complex issues in creating and effective ways. 
  • Demonstrated skills in the ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires and in-depth evaluation of variable factors. 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • MA/MS and 8+ years’ experience or BA/BS and 10+ years’ work experience.  In addition, direct experience with Federal Environments is a plus. 
  • Any relative Active MDM certifications or the willingness to obtain MDM certifications within 6 months of being hired. 
  • TOGAF certification
