Responsibilities:

  • Ensure functional and technical requirements are met through system testing, regression testing, performance testing, system interface testing and security testing activities
  • Work side by side with developers, product managers, designers and customers, making decisions together to deliver products that are free of defects and meet the defined requirements
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, dependencies, or potential issues
  • Pro-actively identify and communicate risks and opportunities for improvement across all products and test framework
  • Actively participate in agile release and sprint planning, sprint grooming, artifact creation, sprint testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate solutions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status
  • Assess the completeness, traceability, and consistency of all interface requirements
  • Develop manual testing scripts and test scenarios
  • Trace requirements to test cases to ensure coverage for full system integration test

 

Required Skills:

 

  • 3+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries; translating specifications and rules into SQL
  • Understanding of data warehouse architecture and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience in requirements analysis, test planning, test case design and development, test environment setup, test execution, and test closure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Excellent facilitation and problem-solving skills in working with teams for the approval (or exceptions) for the product acceptance
  • Familiarity with one or more big data technologies (i.e., Databricks)
  • Experience in Agile projects (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
  • Experience working in a cloud environment
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Extensive backend testing by developing, modifying, and executing SQL queries for data validation and data verification (Oracle preferred)

 

Desired Skills:

 

  • Knowledge & expertise in any scripting language. (Unix/Linux/Scripting/etc.)
  • Experience with Section 508 testing (Trusted Tester certification highly desired)
  • Experience in testing technologies such as REST APIs and Apache Kafka
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies, such as Git and Jenkins
