Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, configures and maintains website(s) and user interfaces for internal and external communications for the company and/or for external customers and clients. Ensures website(s) is available to the desired audience with appropriate links and security. Designs web page layout, graphics, color schemes and infrastructure to maintain a cohesive website based on the organization’s communications strategies and goals. Conceptualizes, designs, and implements a web-based user interface based on current technologies and requirements for computer information systems while staying abreast of emerging technologies that will improve the website’s experience and functionality. Monitors site traffic and helps scale site capacity to meet traffic demands and performance expectations. Improves the portal’s efficiency and designs the look and feel for the site using HTML, JavaScript, and SQL. May require knowledge of the software development life cycle.

1. Assist teams with improving the UI/UX of their systems through industry best practices and potentially usability studies

2. Collaborates with management, business units and IT department to determine the website’s purpose, functions, requirements and long-term strategy.
3. Needs knowledge of web-based user interface development including principles of content organization, UI/UX, site layout, and navigation structure.
4. Develops, assesses and communicates website usage and security policies and procedures.
5. Collaborates with software developers, testers, and other members of the system development team on incorporating the interface elements into the information system being built.
6. Troubleshoots and debugs UI/UX issues including user accessibility. 

7. Be responsible for designing new, and upgrading existing web application User Interfaces (UI) using technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, FontAwesome.



Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Experience with designing UI / UX for new web applications and/or redesigning existing/legacy applications with update / improved UI / UX.
  • Experience designing wireframes or clickage prototypes using Adobe XD (or similar tool)
  • Experience with Source Control (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, SVN)
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6 or later)
  • Experience with Bootstrap
  • Experience with jQuery

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • A Government Public Trust clearance or specifically a PBGC clearance
  • Experience with Nodejs, React, and similar javascript framework technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps Portals, Dynamics Portals, Dynamics 365
