GovCIO Announces Partnerships with the Washington Capitals and Wizards for the 2026–2027 Season

GovCIO, a leader in federal IT modernization, is proud to continue its partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment for the 2026-2027 season. This will be the company’s fifth year partnering with the NHL’s Washington Capitals and first with the NBA’s Washington Wizards.

Supporting those who serve sits at the center of GovCIO’s mission. GovCIO’s partnership with Monumental creates meaningful opportunities to bring that work into the community. Their platforms connect directly with audiences who rely on federal services and help strengthen the impact of programs tied to public service.

GovCIO will support military and Veteran recognition activities across both teams. Alongside the Capitals, GovCIO will support the annual Veterans Day Game against the New Jersey Devils on Nov. 14 that honors and celebrates those who serve. GovCIO supports critical programs that serve the Departments of War and Veteran Affairs.

In its inaugural season with the Wizards, GovCIO will support reenlistment ceremonies at select home games, giving service members the opportunity to take their oath of enlistment on the court at Capital One Arena. This initiative reflects GovCIO’s mission of supporting those who serve by strengthening essential federal technology and honoring military families throughout the community.

GovCIO is excited to also continue serving as the entitlement sponsor of the Capitals’ team bench for all regular-season home games.

The Capitals open their 52nd season on Friday, Oct. 2, on the road against the Carolina Hurricanes at 7 p.m. EDT. The Wizards begin their season at Capital One Arena against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. EDT
