NCAPS Background

With NCAPS, NASA is consolidating application and platform services across its Centers by merging requirements into a single contract. This contract will transform service delivery while maintaining mission focus, improving efficiency, recognizing local authority, and valuing the workforce. NCAPS will feature IT support, customer support, information management services, and service delivery integration across NASA’s centers.

NCAPS Objectives & Scope

For the NCAPS program, NASA has defined the following objectives for the selected contracting team:
  1. Partner with customers to consistently deliver excellence and enable mission success.
  2. Capitalize on data management, access, and innovation.
  3. Safeguard NASA’s data and IT assets.
  4. Maximize business value by optimizing IT.
  5. Care for our people today and prepare them for tomorrow.
The scope of NCAPS involves providing, managing, securing, maintaining, and evolving IT services; this includes general IT, customer support, information management services, defined direct mission support systems, and integration of the currently decentralized support contracts from across NASA’s Centers into one centralized source of support.
