Background on TAPS

TAPS support of CDW includes critical backend maintenance, user tool support (PowerBI, Pyramid Analytics), real-time data integration for Veteran health and benefits, migration of all workgroups from CDW to SDP to decommission CDW by the end of CY 2026, and specialized data mart support for vital initiatives like suicide prevention and hospital quality.

 

Objective and Scope

Database Management: Integrate new technologies, optimize Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) queries, and provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 support to optimal end user experience issues with tables or processing data tracked via ServiceNow.

Monitoring and Compliance: Monitor and ensure resolution of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), critical security control compliance, and sensitive VA data security.

Dashboards: Build, test, and implement dashboard enhancements to improve decision-making activities for 82 programs.

Incident Management: Implement incident management practices across the CDW ecosphere to ensure incidents are captured, closed, and resolved within the first 30 days.

CDW Migration to SDP: Migrate all workgroups from CDW to SDP a cloud-native, scalable, and secure alternative to the legacy CDW to decommission CDW by the end of CY 2026.
