NOC and SD Support Services Background

The USSS performs two statutory missions: protection and criminal investigations. Protective missions include the President and Vice President of the United States; their immediate families; former Presidents of the United States; national leaders; visiting foreign heads of state; major Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates; and National Security Special Events (NSSEs). With an organizational staff of over 8,000 members, the USSS relies heavily on upon information technology (IT) infrastructure and communications systems for the success of their organizational business operations. Mission success is largely dependent on timely access to current, complete, and accurate business operations information and tools to successfully conduct their mission.

NOC and SD Support Services Objectives & Scope

This program will provide IT Operations and Sustainment (O&S) support services to include SD, NOC, NOSC coordination, critical system maintenance, platform tools, configuration management and change control management support.

Atacan possesses over 30 years of experience leading and managing IT development, implementation, and operations programs in the federal government IT market. He has a strong blend of technical and business acumen and a proven record of success marketing, capturing, and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

A seasoned, hands-on practicing technology SME, Atacan specializes in CIO support, government modernization and transformation, data center consolidation, IP convergence, and the latest networking technologies such as software defined networks, mobile computing, and cloud computing. He has experience managing and leading large teams (over 100) of network engineers, systems engineers, analysts, and programmers for multi-million dollar contracts in the federal marketplace.
