ITIS Background
The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) protects the retirement income of more than 33 million American workers in private sector defined benefit pension plans. PBGC’s IT Infrastructure Operations Department (ITIOD), one of four departments in PBGC’s Office of Information Technology (OIT), provides the mission-critical IT infrastructure and associated services which empower PBGC to achieve its missions by providing a stable, secure, and adaptive technological foundation.
ITIS Objectives & Scope
The ITIS program supports the delivery of IT infrastructure services and support needed for PBGC. The program will provide full-scale IT support for PBGC, including End-user Support services, IT Infrastructure Support services, IT Security services, IT Infrastructure Modernization and Innovation services, and IT Infrastructure Governance and Stewardship services. The program will support operations and maintenance (O&M), ongoing system and service modernization, as well as IT transformation.
