GovCIOMEdia & Research is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to improve the digital presence and brand awareness of GovCIO’s corporate and Media and Research segments. 

 

Responsibilities

Do you measure success by open and click-through rates that climb higher over time? Are you highly analytical? Can you derive meaning from performance data? Then this may be the role for you. Reporting to the Sr Marketing Manager, in this role, you’ll help plan, execute, monitor, and report on digital marketing and nurture campaigns, including paid and organic social media, search, display, and email campaigns. You will also analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and make recommendations for improvement. You should have experience in digital marketing, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. In addition, you should be comfortable working with data and have experience with analytics tools. 

 

  • Paid Social, Search, and Display Campaigns for Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Demand-Side Platforms (DSP) such as ZoomInfo Display advertising. 
  • Segment audiences based on behaviors (e.g., past email, website, or social engagement) and firmographic data for future advertising campaigns. 
  • Participate in marketing research, campaign planning meetings, and discovery of new channels to improve organic lead generation. 
  • Support keyword research, competitive analysis, and audience research to inform campaign strategy and targeting. 
  • Create ads inside ad platforms. 
  • Make sure pixels and landing pages associated with ads are properly set-up. 
  • Support campaign A/B testing on creative concepts and messaging to improve campaign performance and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs). 
  • Monitor campaign performance and makes recommendations to optimize campaigns and maximize ROI, including bid adjustments and targeting optimization. 
  • Performs other tasks as needed. 
  • Email Marketing Campaigns 
  • Work with the marketing and Media and Research editorial teams to develop email marketing strategies.  
  • Segment audiences based on behaviors (e.g., past email, website, or social engagement) and firmographic data for future email campaign mailing lists. 
  • Manage the frequency and distribution of various email campaigns within Marketo. 
  • Develop logical workflows for lead nurturing and retargeting campaigns. 
  • Build and maintain journeys/drip campaigns in Marketo. 
  • Prepare, test, and schedule all email campaigns.  
  • Support campaign A/B testing on creative concepts and messaging to improve campaign performance and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs). 
  • Gather email campaign results and analyze results to determine their effectiveness, and identify trends and opportunities to improve email open, click, and click-through rate. 
  • Performs other tasks as needed.  
  • Marketing Automation and Analytics Support  
  • Optimize use of ZoomInfo, Marketo, Salesforce (and new tools we may need to adopt) to streamline processes, provide better insights, and improve campaign results. 
  • Analyze ongoing campaign data for trends, anomalies, and patterns, and make recommendations for improvements across all campaigns. 
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and new advertising platforms and tools. 
  • Stay abreast of the latest changes on advertising platforms. 
  • Support other marketing initiatives as needed. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience in paid media management and email marketing, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. 

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record of success in developing, executing, and optimization paid media campaigns, including search, social, and display, that drive business growth. 
  • Experience with paid media management platforms, including Google Campaign Manager, Meta Business Suite/Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, and Zoominfo. 
  • Understanding of marketing automation, well-versed in email automation workflows. 
  • 2+ years of experience using Marketo, with extensive knowledge of creating and updating email campaigns and templates, creating segments and scheduling within the platform. 
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4, SEMrush, and others. 
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, collaboration, time management, and project management skills. 
  • Must be comfortable working on and with virtual teams. 

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications 

  • Experience working with SEO tools such as Yoast SEO, Moz, and SEMrush. 
  • Working knowledge of WordPress and Drupal CMS. 
  • Google Analytics experience certification. 
  • Experience using Monday Project Management system and Oktopost social media platform. 
  • Working knowledge of: 
  • B2G marketing  
  • Lead generation and growth marketing tactics 
  • Project management tools such as Monday and Trello 
  • Experience with government consulting or contracting.
