Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager with Agile Scrum and PMP certifications to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing projects in an Agile Scrum environment, while adhering to the PMBOK framework. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to closure, ensuring that project objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

  • Plan, execute and monitor projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are delivered within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and other project documentation in accordance with PMBOK standards.
  • Use Agile Scrum methodology to manage project tasks, backlogs, sprints, releases, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Identify, communicate, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Facilitate project meetings and lead project teams, ensuring that all team members are aligned and informed.
  • Ensure that project deliverables are of high quality and meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.
  • The position requires occasional presence at the client facility, located in Ft Meade, MD.

Qualifications

  • High School with 6 – 9 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Active Secret Clearance 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Project Management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional.)
  • Scrum Master certification such as CSM (Certified Scrum Master.)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile Scrum, Kanban, and Lean Six Sigma.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, AWS Cloud Services and/or Collibra
