Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for IT Systems Administrator to provide IT support services for the Executive Office of the U.S. Attorneys and System Managers at U.S. Attorneys’ Offices in the Western District of Texas. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX and will be an onsite position.

 

Responsibilities

The technician is responsible for collecting information through customer conversations, accessing support tools, and additional support staff. Candidates should possess the ability to identify and elevate problems beyond the scope of their ability or responsibility.

  • Provide on-site assistance with hardware, software, firewalls and other IT equipment
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365/Azure office automation environment
  • Address user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking
  • Provide support for Microsoft technologies including Windows and Office
  • Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals
  • Assist clients with technology planning, IT project management, reporting and compliance
  • Record technical issues and solutions in logs
  • Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems
  • Customize desktop applications to meet user needs
  • Help create technical documentation and manuals
  • Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting
  • Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue
  • Report customer feedback and potential product requests
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional; provide verbal and written intermediate feedback; coordinate with senior IT staff personnel to develop final incident/ticket documentation

Travel Required

  • May also require support at remote locations at: Alpine, Del Rio, El Paso, Midland, and Pecos

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's with 5 -8 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years working as a Systems Administrator
  • Experience with assessment, prioritization, research, and resolution of incidents and requests regarding the use of application software products and infrastructure components.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365/Azure office automation environment
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies including Windows and Office
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Clearance Required: Background Investigation

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Microsoft Certifications ( i.e Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals)
  • CompTIA Certifications (i.e. Security+ CE, Cloud+, Server+)

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $120,000 - $135,000 Annually
