Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for Cloud Engineer to support the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Enterprise Network Architecture and Engineering Support Services (CBP ENAESS) program. This position will be located in Ashburn, VA and will be an onsite position with some flexibility to telework.
Responsibilities
Cloud Engineers' responsibilties for CBP ENAESS will support activities related to developing network site designs, engineering network solutions and technologies, load balancing applications, and implementing network capabilities at field sites, data centers, colocations, and the Cloud. In addition, Cloud Engineers will work on designing and implementing network solutions and services in cloud environments, providing connectivity to CSPs, implementing TIC 3.0 capabilities, and managing and maintaining operations at colocation facilities.
CBP
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required:
• At least five (5) years of hands-on experience in network design, network engineering, and network operational support.
• Associate, Solutions Architect, or equivalent training for various CSPs (e.g., AWS and Azure).
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in Cloud services and connectivity.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining CSP resources.
• Knowledge and experience in, but not limited to, routing, switching, firewall, network load balancing, TIC 3.0, traffic optimization, DNS/DHCP, and cloud monitoring and management tools.
Preferred:
• Knowledge and experience in, but not limited to, Cloud programming languages for various CSPs, such as AWS Lambda and GCP Cloud Functions, are preferred.
• Successfully passed CBP Background Investigation (BI).

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Pay range: $145,000 - $225,000 Annually
