Job Overview

 

Creates integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new products in development projects. Reviews manage, and controls the status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress for intervention and problem solving with team members and line managers. Generally reports to a Program Manager/Portfolio Lead.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist development team and the OCTO strategy leads to manage the intake process for new potential applications
  • Create an integrated project plan in collaboration with OCTO strategy leads and the development team with specific, measurable, time-bound goals
  • Attend application meetings, record notes, and key action items, and incorporate relevant updates to progress tracking for the platform
  • Organize, improve, and archive documentation on a central repository (e.g., MS Teams, GitHub, or others)
  • Develop and maintain analytics (e.g., MS PowerBI) related application adoption and outcome metrics

 

Qualifications

 

Required Skills and Experience

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related scientific/technical discipline is required plus 10 years of experience. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

  • Project Management
    • Leverages planning tools to manage deliverables and execute towards milestones within VA needs
    • Drives organization and efficiency in work processes
    • Effective in decision making to select best opportunity weighed against alternatives
  • Relationship building and soft skills
    • Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders and manage competing interests
    • Adaptable and flexible to change especially in dynamic environments
    • Exhibits personal integrity to ensure everything we do centers on Veterans’ needs and best interests
    • Strong communicator who communicates often with transparency and precision to drive projects forward
    • Ability to control project issues when conflict arises
    • Understands formal and informal organization structures

Preferred Skills and Experience

 

  • At least 3 years of experience leading projects
  • Experience working and navigating the VA
  • Experience with digital products, experience with health IT products a plus
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive projects to success
  • PMP certification a plus, but not required

Compensation Range (In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act for remote or positions located in CO)

$90,000 - $100,000
