Responsibilities
The candidate should have experience with a civil agency, preferably Veterans Affairs. The environment is dynamic and client needs are often evolving. As such, thought leadership, problem-solving, rapid learning, and carrying the innovative mindset needed to lead our clients through conceptualization, strategic planning, and execution is important. Additionally, flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.
Working in and Agile deliver model with partners using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Lean Kanban, DevSecOps or other iterative development approaches.
As the project manager you will be expected to understand the goals and objectives for the program and to guide the team through development and delivery to meeting the requirements, while maintaining good communications with the team, partners, company management and the VA Customer. Excellent communication skills are required along with an good understanding of the technical needs and processes.
Assist the VA PM in the following areas:
- Helping follow up with customers, making sure the analysts are following up with customers a little bit, a lot of monitoring and enforcement of follow up and follow through just because we have so many moving pieces in VADIR, the biggest one is the cloud which we’re moving to the cloud next month.
- Building out PACT ACT requirements as an overarching objective.
- Working with the business to articulate and elaborate new data products to help business lines with data sharing initiatives through invader and CXW.
- Somebody who has some understanding of technical analysis work and story building so they can provide a little bit of oversight on on whether we have the details we need as we go into a project that those sorts of things
- This PM would be kind of like the government back up, so it would be enforcing my contract, my contractor and kind of an enforcement and oversight role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
- A Project Manager must have experience managing Information Technology related projects.
- Must be well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies.
- Must have experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress.
- Must be able to identify and mitigate risks.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in Federal Contracting
- Excellent JIRA and Confluence Skills
- WaterScrum – Capable
- Solid PM Skills (PMBOK and AGILE)
- Ability to Marshal requirements and user stories through sprints (Scrum Master Experience)
- Tracking Action Items, Deadlines, Story Completion and Tracking.
- Good Documentation skills, Communications, Techical Writing
- SharePoint

Compensation Range (In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act for remote or positions located in CO)
