Responsibilities

Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and ensures requirements comply through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the network and system development. Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.

1. Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers
2. Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.
3. Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
4. Designs, creates, and builds network services, equipment and devices.
5. Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
6. Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
7. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

 

Bachelor’s with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)

  • Must have Active Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Security + w/ce certification
  • AWS or Azure Cloud experience
  • Performs all duties of system administration including installation, configuration, securing, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Applies higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at an engineering solution.
  • Analyze system requirements and assist in design and development of complex system activities.
  • Integration of requirements, design, and risk mitigation of complex systems.
  • Prepares technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs as needed to record results.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the Task Order.
  • Provide technical assistance to Program Manager(s) and provide technical recommendations of technologies, techniques, or components to assist with meeting project goals and minimizing risks.
  • Interface with customer, attend working groups, provide status updates, training, and overview updates, recommend integration efforts and ways forward.
  • May be required to serve as Team Leader.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality and services delivered for task(s) for which this skill is performing the Team Leader position
  • Ability to apply user requirements to the analysis, planning, and design of technology systems
  • Ability to communicate problems and solutions both verbally and in writing to the Government Lead
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency
  • Ability to work closely with others in a team environment
  • Ability to interface with all customer levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • AWS or Azure Cloud certification
  • CCNA certification
  • CASP certification
