Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring an SWF Communications Lead to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Candidates must have VA experience. This position will be fully remote located within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute initiative timelines and deliverables to ensure operational alignment and strategic execution, fostering efficiency in product development and enhancing Veteran service delivery.
  • Develop and implement standardized frameworks, toolkits, and process documentation to streamline operations, ensuring scalable and repeatable decommissioning processes and accelerating portfolio rationalization efforts.
  • Oversee digital platform strategy and analytics tracking, ensuring time and resources are focused on high-demand information to improve operational efficiency and enhance Veteran-focused digital experiences.
  • Define and deploy decommissioning workflows for Strike Teams and implementation groups, driving the reduction of technical debt and optimizing IT infrastructure to support modernized, Veteran-centric solutions.
  • Track and analyze product portfolio metrics and progress, ensuring alignment with executive priorities and targeted outcomes, while continuously improving operational awareness and knowledge transfer for sustained success.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • 12 years of experience
  • 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Experience working in Jira, Slack, Mural, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be a problem solver

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Suitability / Public Trust

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $135,000 - $147,000 Annually
