This evolution of the brand follows last year’s acquisition of Salient CRGT (SCRGT), a leading provider of data analytics, cloud, agile development, cybersecurity, and infrastructure solutions to national security, health, and civilian agencies. The combined company now has more than 2,600 employees and an annual revenue exceeding $700 million.

WASHINGTON – GovernmentCIO (GovCIO) has been awarded an $37M contract by Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to continue supporting the Veterans Legacy Memorial (VLM). This 4.5-year contract, called VLM-Next Generation (VLM-NG), is the next phase for VA’s capstone interactive online memorialization solution honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation’s Veterans.
As the prime contractor on VLM-NG, GovCIO will establish the next iteration of, and continue enhancing, the VLM product, which GovCIO has supported since its introduction in 2019. VLM is a publicly available website at https://www.vlm.cem.va.gov/ that helps keep the memory of Veterans alive. It virtually memorializes over 4.3 million Veterans interred and inurned at VA national cemeteries and VA grant-funded tribal, state, and territory Veteran cemeteries.

The VLM platform provides a new and unprecedented service
FAIRFAX, VA – Salient CRGT, now part of GovernmentCIO, has completed the design and delivery of the Multi-Domain Laboratory (MDL) for the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). Salient CRGT teamed with PLEXSYS Interface Products, Inc. (PLEXSYS) to create a fully integrated Joint All-Domain Operations Centers (JADOC), Flight Bays, and remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) flight rooms. After years of work, the USAFA MDL is ready to provide USAFA cadets with an unprecedented opportunity to immerse themselves in their learning to prepare them to lead joint multi-domain operations across air, land, sea, space, and cyberspace. The lab officially opened its doors at a ribbon-cutting held on September 17, 2021.
The laboratory’s primary focus is on experiential learning for cadet education. Each of the two JADOCs contain 24 operations center positions that allow cadets to better understand the intricacies of strategic and operational-level command and control in a highly contested environment. GovernmentCIO received a contract to support the Paper Mail Conversion and Management Services program supporting the VA with automation and digitization of veteran’s benefits claims. As one of the prime contractors, GCIO will provide program management, applications development, integration support, quality control and risk management oversight. As the exclusive awardee, GovernmentCIO will work closely with the VA OIT Office of Healthcare Transformation (OHT) to provide web design, web support, virtual collaboration management, and training as the agency transitions its VA Pulse users and sites away from the Jive software virtual collaboration platform to the VA’s SharePoint Online (SPO) platform.
