GovCIO and NHL’s Washington Capitals Announce Strategic Partnership for 2023-2024 Season

Washington, D.C. – GovCIO, a leading provider of advanced technical solutions and digital services to the federal government, is proud to announce its continued partnership for a second year with the National Hockey League’s Washington Capitals.
GovCIO will serve as the exclusive sponsor of the home team penalty box for all Capitals regular season home games played in Capital One Arena. The company will also have digitally enhanced dasherboard signage on local broadcasts for all regular season away games. GovCIO’s partnership will extend through the 2023-2024 season.
The Capitals will open the season against Metropolitan Division rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday, October 13 at 7:30 pm. The team is led by captain Alex Ovechkin. Ovechkin, 38, begins the season in second place on the NHL career goals list with 822, behind only Wayne Gretzky on the all-time list. The 2018 Stanley Cup champion Capitals are looking to making history in the 2023-2024 season by making the playoffs for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons. The team’s 2018 championship was the first in D.C. pro sports in 26 years.
