GovCIO Wins $47.5M Ceiling to Support Department of Defense SANDBAR Bridge

Fairfax, Va. – GovCIO, a provider of advanced technology solutions, cyber, and digital services for the federal government, has been awarded a $47.2 million follow-on task order under the Defense Department’s Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) and Background Investigations Enterprise Systems (BIES) engineering sustainment effort, known as SANDBAR Bridge.

Through this award, GovCIO will have additional funds to provide lifecycle system and capability support to include the research, design, test, deployment, and sustainment activities supporting the U.S. military, and its interagency partners. Support includes maintaining, fixing and upgrading the NBIS branch infrastructure network, routing or transport and the provisioning of these services as DCSA transitions to NBIS 2.0 migration.

This ceiling increase supplements the five-year, single-award contract awarded to GovCIO in 2019, supporting telecommunications and engineering services for the Defense Department. Initial efforts under the SANDBAR contract focused on operations and maintenance, integrating, upgrading, and modernizing the networks used by military personnel.
