VA’s Veterans Legacy Memorial Awarded the Gold Quill of Excellence Award

Washington D.C. – The Department of Veterans Affairs’ Veterans Legacy Memorial (VLM) program has been awarded a Gold Quill of Excellence award from the International Association of Business Communicators.

VLM is a digital platform that memorializes the more than 4.3 million Veterans laid to rest at VA-managed and VA-funded Veteran cemeteries. Organized under the National Cemetery Administration (NCA), VLM provides each of these Veterans a personalized profile page, including military service data and resting place information. Families, friends, and visitors can upload content — including tributes and mementos — to a Veteran’s memorial page.

GovCIO has served as the prime contractor for VLM since its introduction in 2019. GovCIO is working on the next iteration and enhancements of the VLM – Next Generation program.
