The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is the second largest Federal Department with over 278,000 employees. With its headquarters in Washington, District of Columbia, the VA field facilities throughout the Nation administered by three major line organizations: Veterans Health Administration, Veteran Benefits Administration and the National Cemetery Administration. Scope of Services:
Over the past 10 years, VA established and enhanced a “Medical Grade Network” that provides connectivity to external services and business partners, using TIC gateways built on an advanced and complex architecture that complies with DHS mandates. This TO builds upon that foundation by sustaining critical, mission-enabling services such as ensuring TIC gateways remain available and secure, enabling VA to adopt new solutions for the future. By streamlining support services and adopting advanced automation, VA looks to benefit from a reliable and secure network environment while expanding Veteran-focused initiatives (e.g., increased Telehealth use, EHRM).
