AOUSC Background

The Federal Judiciary comprises more than 32,000 users working in 90 Bankruptcy Courts, 94 District Courts, 13 Appellate Courts, Defender Services Offices, and Probation and Pretrial Services Offices, as well as internal and external judicial partners in a geographically dispersed environment at over 600 locations. With over 1,000 employees, the Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC) oversees a wide range of services to include administrative, legal, financial, management, program, and IT support to the federal courts.

The AOUSC Department of Technology Services (DTS), AO Technology Office (AOTO) as part of its mission requires technical support in providing Operations, Engineering and Security Support Services to the AO community consisting of approximately 2,600 customers in the Washington DC area, and court IT staff located throughout the country.

AOUSC Objectives & Scope

As AOUSC AOTO continues to mature its capabilities and functions, it’s looking for a contractor to provide IT support and services, with an emphasis on security and quality. AOTO’s main strategic priorities for its contracting partner include:

  1. Building and maintaining robust and flexible technology systems and applications.
  2. Coordinating and integrating national IT systems and applications.
  3. Developing system-wide approaches to the utilization of technology.
  4. Continuously improving security practices.
